It’s not just images, PDFs, and websites anymore. This is a big step towards making MarkUp.io the best tool for remote and asynchronous collaboration.

You can now leave feedback on:

PSD, AI, EPS & TIFF files (if you’re not sure what these are, just show this to your designers–they’ll be delighted.)

Word, PowerPoint, RFT & TXT documents (for our friendly neighbourhood Microsoft users)

OpenOffice projects (for all the open-source fans out there)

If you haven’t already, log in to your account and give them a try. You leave a pin on a drop-down menu, and as soon as you move on, poof, the pin is gone. (Well, it’s technically still there but is hidden from view due to the element that the pin is attached to not being visible either.)

On websites with many changing states, invisible pins were causing bottlenecks in the workflow. Same thing if you remove an element during the course of your collaboration.

We listened to your feedback, analyzed edge cases, and came up with an elegant solution to improve the commenting experience in MarkUp.io for missing and hidden pins.

You can now easily find pins attached to interactive or hidden webpage elements and quickly navigate between comments.

Some users also pointed out that in projects with a lot of comments, navigating between pins can often be a challenge. Now, thanks to our new navigation feature (pictured below), you can now instantly navigate between comments and jump to a specific pin you’d like to address.

Emojis in MarkUp.io 😂 ❤️ 🤣 👍 😭 🙏 😘

This one is long overdue.
