We know how important control is to you. So, now you have more of it: greater control over your email notifications, workflow, and feedback loop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83d\udcc5 April 2023<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Moved the bottom toolbar to the top<\/strong>. Some of you reached out to us, noting that while MarkUp.io is simple to use, your teammates and Guest reviewers sometimes struggled to navigate Website MarkUps. That was a real lightbulb moment for us, prompting us to relocate the <strong>Comment<\/strong> and <strong>Browse<\/strong> toolbar to the top where it&#8217;s more easily visible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video aligncenter\"><video autoplay controls loop muted src=\"https:\/\/assets.markup.io\/app\/uploads\/2023\/06\/markup-q223-toolbar.mp4\" playsinline><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to finding the <strong>Comment<\/strong> and <strong>Browse<\/strong> toggles at the top of all types of MarkUps, you can also:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Experience different device previews of your Website MarkUp<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Customize the MarkUp&#8217;s notification settings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manage the MarkUp&#8217;s sharing settings<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Hopefully, you don&#8217;t need to keep reminding your reviewers about this feature. \ud83e\udd1e But if you do, <a href=\"https:\/\/markup-community.slack.com\/join\/shared_invite\/zt-bray2i47-ZhuNtmVTxrYkPHnE7LvvxA#\/shared-invite\/email?utm_source=website&amp;utm_medium=markup-blog&amp;utm_campaign=q223&amp;utm_content=slack\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">let us know in our Slack community!<\/a>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Updated our Chrome extension. <\/strong>The team made working with Google sites, social media platforms, and anything behind a password even easier. That\u2019s right\u2013you can markup even more sites! \ud83c\udf89 There&#8217;s no need to download or install a new version; if you already installed the Chrome extension, it was automatically updated. Enjoy!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Video scrubbing<\/strong>. Did you know that one second in a video typically includes <a href=\"https:\/\/www.techsmith.com\/blog\/frame-rate-beginners-guide\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">24\u201330 frames?<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That&#8217;s a lot to digest. Especially when searching for that <em>one <\/em>spot you wanted to comment on.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So we added a <a href=\"https:\/\/support.markup.io\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/16028464862867-Annotating-Video-MarkUps-\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">scrubbing feature<\/a> that lets you quickly move backward and forward through a video frame-by-frame to find exactly what you need. Just use the left and right keys to leave frame-accurate comments on your Video MarkUps. Holding the \u2018Shift\u2019 key will increase the scrubbing rate 10x.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This level of precision ensures that feedback is clear and specific, making it easier for the recipient to understand and act on the comments they get.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video aligncenter\"><video autoplay controls loop muted src=\"https:\/\/assets.markup.io\/app\/uploads\/2023\/06\/markup-q223-video-scrubbing.mp4\" playsinline><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Zapier integration (beta) launch. <\/strong>This was a big one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because we&#8217;re all about improving the reviewer experience in MarkUp.io, the team&#8217;s been prioritizing integrations this year. And our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.markup.io\/blog\/markup-zapier-integration\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Zapier beta release<\/a> was <em>hugely <\/em>useful for understanding the workflows our users need\u2014so we can create even more game-changing integrations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And the community responded! Users who&#8217;ve installed it have used it to pump new comments into Slack, create new Asana tasks from new MarkUps, and much more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Keep an eye out for future integrations with Slack and Microsoft Teams. The MarkUp.io team is on it. \ud83e\udee1<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">\ud83d\udccd <em>Check out the <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/view.ceros.com\/markupio\/markupio-2023-product-roadmap\/p\/1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>2023 product roadmap<\/em><\/a><em> to see what\u2019s on deck.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Go Pro Videos were upside down<\/strong>. You no longer have to hold your laptop upside-down while getting feedback on sky-diving videos. \ud83e\udd26 GoPro metadata wasn&#8217;t processing correctly, so some of our users&#8217; GoPro videos came out upside down. The team&#8217;s fixed that problem, and now everyone&#8217;s GoPro Video MarkUps display correctly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Made pin positioning even more precise<\/strong>. Sometimes when working with Web MarkUps, pins would move ever so slightly. Annoying, right? Rest assured, we&#8217;ve addressed this problem to ensure that once pins are set, they stay in place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Prevented accidental posting. <\/strong>There\u2019s nothing worse than accidentally posting a comment while you\u2019re in the middle of typing it. \ud83e\udd2cThat\u2019s why clicking <strong>Enter<\/strong> while selecting a user from the @mention drop-down list (in a comment) no longer posts that comment. Sanity restored!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83d\udcc5 May 2023<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Labeled Workspaces<\/strong>. Just <a href=\"https:\/\/app.markup.io\/w\/*?showWhatsnew\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">click <strong>What&#8217;s new<\/strong><\/a> in the top-right corner of your Workspace for recent improvements and other announcements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/app.markup.io\/w\/*?showWhatsnew\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">See it for yourself!<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fresh email notifications<\/strong>. Getting emails from MarkUp.io used to be a little&#8230;spammy, to say the least. Because they lacked valuable context, they offered little value to users. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our new design addresses these concerns, providing a much-improved experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the redesigned interface, comments are accompanied by relevant screenshots, enhancing clarity and context. Labels for replies, resolved comments, and new comments are much clearer, too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We&#8217;ve also upgraded the functionality of our emails. Clicking &#8220;open in markup.io&#8221; now takes you directly to the specific comment instead of the entire MarkUp, saving you time and effort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And because giving you control is our top priority, you can now choose your preferred frequency for receiving updates\u2014whether it&#8217;s for all changes, mentions only, or no emails at all. Especially when you can&#8217;t tell how many comments there are per web page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not anymore!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can now filter your sidebar to only show comments on the page you&#8217;re viewing. It&#8217;s like playing an endless game of comment ping-pong. Now, we&#8217;re making it easier to see both sides of the conversation by displaying comments directly on top of your canvas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Just hover over a comment to see a preview of what it says.
