(Minor humble brag incoming \ud83d\ude0e).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">We got bigger than ever<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2023, we helped even more people streamline and perfect their feedback process. \ud83d\udc4c<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We saw the number of MarkUp.io users skyrocket, not only in our <a href=\"http:\/\/markup-community.slack.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Slack community<\/a> but across the board. The evidence of this makeover? A stellar surge in asynchronous tool usage, with close to a million MarkUps created and a whopping 11.4 million comments made in 2023. \ud83e\udd2f <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That&#8217;s a substantial leap from the year before and a testament to how MarkUp is revolutionizing workplace communication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alrighty, enough with the teasers \u2013 here\u2019s a look at our <strong>2023 highlights<\/strong>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83d\udcc5 January 2023<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Support for images over 12,000 pixels. <\/strong>We upgraded our image support to over a whopping 12,000 pixels. This allowed users to create even bigger MarkUps, perfect for those large, static screenshots of complex website projects.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Improved upload modal. <\/strong>Empowering you to either merge or split your files during multiple assets upload, this feature spun the wheels for a faster MarkUp production process. Moreover, it opened up the possibility for you to create multiple MarkUps for various clients or campaigns, all at the same time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The icing on the cake? Different file formats, like a video or PDF, automatically separate while uploading. Letting you cut the clutter out of your inbox so you only see what\u2019s important!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Valentine&#8217;s competition. <\/strong>In February, we kicked things off in our <a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/3HasZvA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Slack community<\/a> with a big Valentine&#8217;s Day competition to stoke your creative fires. And the results we got totally exceeded our expectations! \u2764\ufe0f Check out our winners <a href=\"https:\/\/www.markup.io\/blog\/markup-valentines-giveaway\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83d\udcc5 March 2023<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>New keyboard shortcuts. <\/strong>We added a much-needed new <a href=\"https:\/\/educate.ceros.com\/markup-twy61e4f\/post\/can-i-use-keyboard-shortcuts-in-markup-io-CJwJoCUjwMN5jO9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">keyboard shortcut to MarkUp.io<\/a> \u2013 holding <em>Shift + Enter<\/em> to create a line break in your MarkUp comments. No more accidentally posting comments when you press \u2018Enter!\u2019&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Automatic screenshots (in comments).<\/strong> We made it possible to collect screenshots with each comment left on a MarkUp <em>without<\/em> having to download the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.markup.io\/blog\/how-to-annotate-on-google-chrome\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Chrome extension<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video aligncenter\"><video autoplay controls loop muted src=\"https:\/\/assets.markup.io\/app\/uploads\/2024\/01\/1c17c0fa-5d40-43e8-b05e-8f83869d072a.mp4\" playsinline><\/video><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>You&#8217;ll soon wonder how you ever survived without them!<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, if you\u2019re reviewing a Website MarkUp, you\u2019ll be able to see which part of the website the reviewer commented on and where they left their original pin. Now, you can zip through videos on MarkUp.io with the precision of a pro editor. Users have set the integration up to send new comments into Slack, create Asana tasks from new MarkUps, and build super useful <a href=\"https:\/\/www.markup.io\/blog\/zapier-templates\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Zapier templates<\/a> that make their workflow even smoother and more connected.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Later in the year, we took things up a notch by simplifying how you create Zaps. You can also view, edit, and reply to comments on the canvas, so communication between stakeholders is easier than ever.
